On October 25, 2026, the Arizona Cardinals will honor Fitzgerald with a special halftime ceremony during their home game against the Denver Broncos at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. He’ll be inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor and have his No. 11 jersey retired—making him only the sixth Cardinals player ever to receive that honor.
Larry Fitzgerald
- Arizona Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, on August 8, 2026, as part of the Class of 2026.
- He spent his entire 17-year NFL career (2004–2020) with the Arizona Cardinals and was a first-ballot Hall of Famer—only the second Cardinal ever to be inducted on the first try.
- His career numbers rank among the best in NFL history: 1,432 receptions and 17,492 receiving yards, both second all-time, plus 121 touchdown catches.
- Off the field, Fitzgerald won the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award in 2016, recognizing his work on youth education and breast cancer awareness through his foundation.
Celebrating Larry Fitzgerald Jr.
For 17 seasons, Larry Fitzgerald Jr. gave everything to the game. But listen to how he talks about his career, and you’ll hear the real story: family.
At his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction, Larry thanked the Cardinals organization for taking him in like family. Arizona became his home. The fans became his extended family, showing up season after season to watch him become a legend.
That’s why “We Are Family” is more than a fitting song for the moment his No. 11 is retired. It’s his story, set to music. Larry, his family, his teammates, the Bidwill family, and thousands of fans, all together as that song fills the stadium.
Seventeen years on the field. A lifetime of family off it.
